Congratulations to the Etobicoke Torrent, 2016 Ontario Premier League Champions!
Format: modified Page Playoff system.
August 27 at Milton: the Torrrent defeated Milton Mixed Nuts in a close quarter final with all 3 games going to a tie break. In the semi-finals, Etobicoke then beat Agincourt, the first-place qualifiers in the East Division, to advance to the Final against the defending-champion Niagara Rapids. The Torrent took the singles and triples in straight sets to claim the title. Click here for complete playoff information.

FORMAT:  Each match will consist of: One (1) 2 bowl triples game, One (1) three (3) bowl pairs game and One four (4) bowl singles game.

SETS:  Games will be sets play. Two sets of 9 ends. If each team wins a set, or both sets are drawn, a best two-out-of-three end tie break will determine the rink winner.

POINTS:  The match winner will be the team that wins 2 out of the 3 rinks. Two points will be awarded for a win, 0 points will be awarded for a loss.

OPL REGULAR SEASON:  For 2016, each of the 5 West Division clubs will play 8 Matches in a balanced schedule consisting of four home and four away matches against the four opposition clubs in that division (double round-robin, home-and-away format). Top teams in the East and West divisions will face off in the Playoffs for the OPL Cup.

TIE BREAKERS: At the end of the season, if two or more teams are tied for the final playoff spot, the ties will be broken by:
a) Number of rink wins
b) Number of straight sets rink wins
c) Head-to-head
d) Number of away wins
e) Tie-breaker game.
